Description
The Ansys Download Center organizes each release into packages by product family. If you work with Ansys Fluent and other fluid dynamics products, the Fluids package contains everything you need in a single download.
The Fluids package includes:
- Ansys Workbench
- Ansys Fluent
- Ansys CFX
- Ansys Chemkin
Download only the packages for the products you use, so the download and install stay small. If you also use Structures or Electronics products, see HOW TO - Download the Ansys Structures Package (Mechanical, Mechanical APDL, Autodyn, LS-DYNA) or HOW TO - Download the Ansys Electronics Package (HFSS, Maxwell, Icepak, SIwave, Nuhertz).
Solution
1. Sign In to the Ansys Download Center
- Go to the Ansys Download Center at download.ansys.com and sign in with your Ansys account.
2. Select the Fluids Package
- In the left menu, click Current Release, then set the filters below:
Note: For older releases, use the archived releases page instead.
| Setting | Value |
|---|---|
| Select Release | your release, for example 2026 R1
|
| Select Operating System | your computer's operating system, for example Windows x64
|
| Select Download Type | Primary Packages |
- Scroll down to the "Primary Packages (Commercial & Academic Packages)" section. In the "Fluids" column, click Full Package.
3. Save and Extract the Files Locally
Save to a Local Drive (Not a Network Share or VPN)
Do not download, extract, or run the installer from a network share, a mapped drive, or across a VPN connection. This is a common cause of extraction and installation failures. More info: HOW TO - Verify the Integrity of Installation Files.
- Save the package to a local drive on the computer where you will install Ansys.
- When the download finishes, extract the package.
- Right-click
setup.exeand select Run as administrator. The Ansys installer opens; follow the Ansys Download & Installation Guide (Start Here!) to finish installing.
Note: Installing the software does not license it. If your licensing is not set up yet, set it up with the same guide before you launch Fluent or CFX.
