The follow error occurs when launching Zmax OpticStudio.

Description/Cause
Zemax can be licensed two ways - Ansys Licensing and Legacy Optics Licensing. By default, Zemax was set to use the legacy Optics Licensing Server.
In this documented case, the customer was using Ansy Shared Web Licensing and had also specified correctly in the Client Licensing Utility, however, a license was still not detected.

Solution
- Ensure you have Specify an Ansys License Server properly.
- Open Zemax OpticStudio
- Bypass the error and get to the launch screen.
- If the Configure License window does not appear automatically, select Licenses to open it.
- Specify the proper licensing server type based on the license type you purchased.
- Use Ansys client Settings - For Ansys Licensing types (using FlextNet, Shared Web or Elastic Licensing)
- Use Optics Launcher Settings - Legacy OpticStudio licensing types
