This article will show you how to locate your customer number that is assigned to your company when first purchasing Ansys software. This number will help when looking your account for support, purchases or other account management tasks.

FlexNet Licensing

Ansys Licensing Portal

Login to the Ansys Licensing Portal (licensing.ansys.com)
- HOW TO - Access the Ansys Licensing Portal
  Note: You must to be an ASC or LPA on your account in order to see this info.

License Key Email

Found in your License Key email sent to your Ansys Support Coordinator upon purchasing Ansys.

Your License Key Text file

Found in Ansys License Key text file that was sent to your Ansys Support Coordinator contact when the software was purchased.

Your Installed License File

Inside your installed file that's located on your License Server. File path:

C:\Program Files\ANSYS Inc\Shared Files\Licensing\license_files\ansyslmd.lic"

Via Command Line (If you have Ansys is installed)

If you have Ansys installed, Run command #3 in this article‍.

I don't know what type of License Server I need/have

FlextNet - Classic, self-hosted license server where one or more users share a pool of licenses. (currently most common)
Shared Web Licensing - Newer License Server, hosted by Ansys, where one or more users share a pool of licenses. (New in 2023R2)
Elastic Web Licensing - License Server hosted by Ansys using their flexible pay-per-use licensing model based on AEC's.
