ERROR

When upgrading the client software to a newer version of Ansys, in this case 2024R2, you receive an error when launching mechanical from workbench stating the version of the vendor daemon is too old. Older versions of Ansys work without error.

Description/Cause

Potential causes:

1. The client software is running newer version of Ansys than the License Manager is.  The License Manager version should always be the same or newer than any client software.
2. The license file was manually modified to point to a custom location for the ansyslm.exe file and that file was outdated. Example:
   
   SERVER SERVERNAME DISK_SERIAL_NUM=1234567890
VENDOR ansyslmd C:\SERVERNAME\IcePak\ansyslmd.exe
USE_SERVER
