When installing the Ansys License Manager at the end of the installer you receive this error in the detailed installation log.
...ERROR: Attempt to create the following configuration status file was unsuccessful. This could cause problems during future licensing configurations.C:\Program Files\ANSYS Inc\Shared Files\Licensing\ansysli_data\.config

Description/Cause
This can be caused not running the Ansys installer as administrator or not extracting the package before running the install.
